Description

Impenetrable luminous ruby. Wide, deep, persistent, intense and of great elegance. This 1,800-bottle-a-year gem comes from a single cru over 50 years old, with a yield of 1.5 kg per plant and carried by the hand of the new winemaker Emiliano Falsini. It is the first release for Batia which has proved to be a truly extraordinary year for this company. It is a pleasure to hear it on the nose, because it knows a lot and tells them well: it attacks mineral, iron, but then melts the speech on tones of ripe red fruits in alcohol, strawberry syrup, decidedly spicy, menthol, balsamic notes, hints vegetal and floral, from a distance you can admire panoramas of cocoa, leather, smoky notes, tobacco and tertiary products that are definitely evolving.

This wine not only represents a CRU of Magliocco Canino, but wants to be an appointment with the history of this territory.
