A Sangiovese cru to chisel the Bonsalto terroir. A precise point on the map of Tuscan wine. Territory: all the vineyards are located on the same slope facing south, south-east and are surrounded by woods that protect them from the main winds. The microclimate of Bonsalto is therefore distinct and completely peculiar. The soils are clayey, with alluvial river deposits. The skeleton is made up of pebbles and boulder smoothed by the water. The alkaline soils, rather rich in macroelements and poor in nitrogen, are not too productive and guarantee good water reserves even in dry years.
Behind the vineyard, the forest seems like a cloak that protects this "cru", nestled above a small lake. Here there are only Sangiovese plants, the Tuscan variety par excellence, capable of restoring all the character of the terroir. The wine matures for a year in barrel: it is inviting, finely embroidered with floral, mineral and spicy points, while the mouth has great tension, flavor and character.
